It was all about DJ Chubby's Birthnite Bash, 'Sunglasses and Graphic T's' at Caribbean Flavor last Friday night.  After a bashment break of about two years, DJ Chubby decides to throw bash for 2009, that made Cleveland forget about the brief hiatus as they partied at Flavor well past 3am..
 
The usual fashionably late Chat 'Bout Cleveland arrival proved costly since the parking lot was JAMMED PACKED and yes, there was a 15-20 minute wait for someone to leave to get a park! 

FINALLY arriving in the bash, the venue was ram from the bar to the outdoor patio and of course the dancefloor while people danced throughout the place.  As the tunes by Mr. Vegas and Spice flowed,  she-lector Leisa Engel keep all the ladies hype with some custom 'girl power' banter...(YES!  Love to see her in true hype mode)!

Special guest DJ Powerstone was on hand to add a different element to the event, as he kept the crowd moving with the usual tunes followed by a (longer than usual) hip hop set - a rarity on Friday nights in 'Flavor', but the crowd certainly obliged by keeping the party going between the 'Stanky Legg' and 'Lean Wid' It'. 

Big up all the Cleveland masses for really embracing this theme.  It was great to see partygoers in the crowd 'expressing' themselves with their t-shirts, including my favorite:  The Obama is My Homie floursecent t-shirt!  Loved it!  The sunglasses were the 'it' accessory as well, from Versace to Marc Jacobs and everything in between. 

(A fear of falling usually deters me from wearing sunglasses in the club. But for this occasion, Jimmy Choo's were a MUST!)

After bringing the crowd to full madness mode, enter the daggerin' tunes and soon DHQ Nikkie alongside NYC Dancin' Twinz (is it Twinz, when there is just one?), Famous and Crazy Leggs did their thing on the dancefloor.  From the crowd reactions whenever a daggerin' tune is played, let's just say that this is definitely a dance craze that will be here  a long while. 

Once again it was easier to tell who DIDN'T make an appearance at this bash.  But amoungst the crowd, here a more than a few 'dancehall celebs' in the place showing thier support; Silk from Soundtonic - getting ready for his HUGE bash at Dailey's, DJ Ciara and crew, Lady Spyda - doing her thing on (and in) the speakers, Waistline Trini, Maggie Untouchable - still partying after her sell off Spring Colors Affair, Dainty Sharon, Village, Lady Kashmir and fam, Summer Body Sue Q and Stacy, Ms. Sheena, CGP CEO, Ajoy, Platinum Family Shaheeda and Marcia (on her earthstrong tour - pre SELL OFF bash), Ms. Cutie Cute Ocie, Tamara and Donna - but, hey the list can go in and on..

The sell off 'Sunglasses and Graphic Tee's' is yet another bash starting Summer 2009 off in a big way this season.  Hey, it's only June people, what does the Cleveland party scene have in store for July and August?
